SPS3 autosampler for the Cary UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometers
The SPS3 autosamplers can be connected to all of the AA, ICP-OES, ICP-MS and UV spectrometers currently manufactured by Varian. It can hold up to 270 samples. A fume hood is also available.
Compatibility
The SPS3 autosampler is compatible with V3 (or later) Cary WinUV software and V3.1 (or later) Cary WinUV Pharma software only.
Note: A Patch CD must be installed for Cary WinUV version 3/3.1 compatability. The Patch CD is included with the SPS3 autosampler (UV-Vis-NIR only). See Ordering Information.

A sipper accessory is also required to be purchased when ordering an SPS autosampler. Two options are available, depending on the type of instrument you are using:

Note: A flow cell must also be purchased separately.
The software capabilities for the SPS3 vary with each product range. Here is a summary of the capabilities for Cary UV instruments:
- Compatible with the Cary WinUV Advanced Reads, Concentration and Scan application software.
- Weight/volume corrections (Cary WinUV Concentration application software only)
- Re-alignment of probe (in case of accidental bumping)
- Programmable rinse time
- Programmable sample fill time
- Programmable operating speed (<3 seconds from sample to rinse)
- Programmable probe height, ideal for small volumes
- Programmable autoreturn function when used with Routine Sampler Accessory (RSA). Solution is returned to the sample tube which is useful for precious samples.
Note: The Travelling Rinse and Dilutor options are not supported by the Cary UV-Vis instrument range. |
