VK 808 Filter Changer

The Filter Changer is designed to be used in conjunction with the VK 8000 or VK 8080. This unit can easily be added to an existing autosampler (a Syringe Pump and new chip for the VK 8000 are required).

The Filter Changer is available in 2 models. One version is designed to filter 6, 7 or 8 lines simultaneously—as would typically be done when using the VK 8000. Another version utilizes a single line and is used with the VK 8000 (see page 106). In this setup, only 1 filter is placed in line. In this application, a sequential injection onto an HPLC column is filtered prior to injection.

The Filter Changer can store up to 200 filters at a time. The filters come prepackaged in tubes of 25 for easy loading. See page 103 for automation filters.

When used with the VK 8000, all of the parameters are set using the VK 8000 keypad. The sequence of events is as follows:

You are assured of the proper sample being withdrawn due to the accuracy of the Syringe Pumps. These syringes have an accuracy of ± 2% when used with the Filter Changer and ± 1% when used without the Filter Changer.

You can order the Filter Changer to retrofit existing VK 8000s. For these systems a new chip is installed in the VK 8000 and the unit is retrofitted with a Syringe Pump to replace the existing Peristaltic Pump. Use the single-channel Filter Changer with the VK 8080 Sample Processing Station.
