The step-by-step On-Site? CupKit™ process

To run a test, collect the sample directly into the cup. Refer to the attached temperature strip to confirm integrity of the sample.

Gently open the foil pouch. Remove the test card and insert it into the holder in the lid: to align the card in the correct direction, line up the three black arrows on the card with the three etched arrows on the plastic holder, and push the card into place.

Tightly secure the lid to the cup. The test card should be close to, and facing, the flat panel of the cup.

Wait approximately five minutes for the test “valid” bands to appear. These bands may be faint, broken, or partial – any color should be considered valid.

 Interpret test results.
The absence of color should be be considered presumptive positive. This will require confirmation by GC/MS at a laboratory. The cup can be sent as is. It is advised that a photocopy be made of the results prior to sending sample for confirmation. This can be done with the test card and sample still in the cup.

A faint, partial, or broken band indicates a negative result.
