Cleaner Extracts Reduce Ion Suppression
Focus’ improved retention for polar analytes allows use of a stronger Power Rinse™ without causing drug loss. Up to 20% acetonitrile and methanol washes can be used to aggressively remove endogenous matrix interferences. Focus produces substantially cleaner extracts than the Polymer A alternative.
Faster LC Runs
Post column infusion experiments show that Focus reduces ion suppression compared to the Polymer A alternative. The removal of matrix effects, which interfere with fast eluting polar compounds, eliminates the need to delay retention times. Result? Faster LC run times.
Better Quantitation for Polar Analytes
The removal of matrix effects also provides better quantitation for polar analytes. Focus gives better peak shapes and better signal to noise which translates to better quantitation at lower levels.
