The high surface area of the Hydromatrix packing material facilitates
efficient, emulsion-free interactions between the sample and the
organic extraction solvent. Extractions are carried out with gravity
only - no vacuum is required.
How to Select the Size Cartridge you Need
Selection
of the right sized Hydromatrix filled cartridge for your application
is based upon the volume of your aqueous sample.
As a simple rule of thumb, always use a cartridge of equal
or
greater capacity than your sample volume. Capacity of the
Hydromatrix packing is specified in the cartridge description.
Varian Sample Preparation Products' Hydromatrix has proven to
be a useful tool in supercritical fluid extractions (SFE). Its
high purity, well characterized physical properties ensure efficient,
and reproducible SFE results. Bulk
Hydromatrix is available in
1 kg, and 4 kg sizes for the analyst performing SFE or those wishing
to pack their own liquid / liquid extraction cartridges.
How to Use
Varian also carries a complete line of accessories for processing
Chem Elut and Tox Elut tubes.
Liquid Liquid Extraction products are also available in prepacked
cartridges,
bulk, and 96
well plate formats.
