Hydromatrix is a high-purity, inert diatomaceous
earth with a high surface area and high capacity for aqueous
adsorption. This makes it an exceptional medium for SLE.
Hydromatrix is available as bulk media,
or pre-packed in Chem Elut cartridges.
Chem Elut cartridges contain Hydromatrix material in an ultra pure
polypropylene housing designed for gravity flow of both aqueous and
organic liquids. A hydrophobic membrane at the base of the cartridge
ensures that moisture is excluded from the extract. Chem Elut
cartridges can absorb from 0.3 mL to 300 mL of aqueous solution or
sample. Hydromatrix is also available in a 96-well
plate, called Combilute.
