MetaGuard? are stand-alone, disposable columns which connect directly into the end-fitting of any manufacturer’s analytical column, providing outstanding column protection and unparalleled convenience. The single-piece design of MetaGuard is a major advance over other direct-connect guards which have multiple, hard-to-handle and easy-to-lose pieces.

With a twist of wrist MetaGuard forms a fingertight, very low dead-volume connection, which minimizes sample dispersion, maximizes system efficiency, and is leak-free to over 5000 psi! MetaGuard has no appreciable effect on column efficiency or peak shape. The compact design of MetaGuard makes it perfect for use in column-heating applications where space considerations are crucial. MetaGuard columns are available filled with a wide variety of name-brand packings, ensuring that the guard packing exactly matches the packing in the analytical column. MetaGuard columns are compatible with all manufacturers' columns.
