VF-5ms:
Highly inert 5% phenyl-methyl low bleed FactorFour GC column for increased sensitivity, accuracy and instrument uptime

·	Equivalent to 5% phenyl 95% dimethylpolysiloxane guaranteed low bleed phase
·	lowest guaranteed bleed specification of 1 pA @ 325°C (30m, 0.25mm, 0.25μm)
·	suitable for a wide range of applications
·	bonded and cross-linked so solvent rinsing is possible
·	available with Varian’s EZ-Guard™ guard columns; 100% leak-free guard column protection for easy and trouble free operation

The VF-5ms has a slightly higher polarity than the VF-1ms resulting in a better selectivity for aromatic compounds. Offering the lowest bleed specifications available, column bleeding is minimized so all the benefits of low bleed are provided.

The VF-5ms comes with an EZ-GRIP™ simplifying installation, coupling and operation of capillary columns. For guaranteed performance the retention index, efficiency, selectivity and bleed is measured and specified on the test report supplied with each column.

Typical components analyzed with the VF-5ms include:
Alcohols, amines, aromatic hydrocarbons, bile acids, drugs, EPA methods, esters, FAME, flavors and aromas, glycerides, halogenated compounds, herbicides, hydrocarbons, organic acids, oxygenates, PAHs, PCBs, pesticides, phenols, polymers, prostaglandins, solvents, steroids, sterols, sugars and sulfur compounds.
